I have all the forms to get the boat and motor registered with the TPWD. However, what do I need to take to the county tax office to get the trailer registered? I accept the title from the State of Arkansas and a bill of sale for the boat broken downwards into its individual parts. Any help, would be apprciated. | Re: Registering a Gunkhole Trailer in Texas [Re: HOU Razorback] #3704230 07/17/09 04:sixteen PM | Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2,051 Catfish_Hunter Farthermost Angler | Farthermost Angler Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: ii,051 | Don't know if information technology's much assist, but I bought one out of OK, and they don't title trailers up there. I brought the neb of auction in, had to go the serial # off the trailer for 'em, and was good to get. No fish is too good for the grease. | Re: Registering a Gunkhole Trailer in Texas [Re: Catfish_Hunter] #3704257 07/17/09 04:22 PM | Joined: April 2008 Posts: 12,193 PaulGrapevine TFF Guru | TFF Guru Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 12,193 | Accept the bill of sale to the local tax accessors office. It is like getting you lot car registration renewed. Will cost about $70 for the plate and sticker and $forty a yr after that. | Re: Registering a Gunkhole Trailer in Texas [Re: ChampionDon (SkeeterDon)] #3705180 07/17/09 07:25 PM | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 49,967 fouzman Methuselah | Methuselah Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 49,967 | +1 on the BOS. I recently tried to register my trailer at the TAC using my boat and motor titles and TPWD registration, which used to be sufficient. I did have a BOS for the whole package just TPWD kept it when I transferred title and registration on them. TAC at present requires you lot to have an original BOS listing the value of the trailer. How did you register with TP&West with a BOS, when they crave PWD-143 and PWD- 144 forms? Why make a simple procedure difficult? Tried that. Co-ordinate to the TPWD, information technology you have a BOS signed by the seller, and then the seller doesn't have to had signed the forms 143 and 144. | Re: Registering a Boat Trailer in Texas [Re: HOU Razorback] #3705590 07/17/09 08:28 PM | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 4,609 BillS2006 TFF Squad Angler | TFF Team Angler Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: iv,609 | Sorry, merely section "O" must be signed by the seller or his legal representative. Look it up. I buy my boats in Tennessee and do this often. Never has TP&W accepted a BOS. I ever get a BOS on the boat, motor and trailer. But always the seller has to provide a filled out Form PWD-143 and TPW-144. That's what I idea and I may find out that I'm wrong, simply I spoke with a lady today that the local Houston TPWD office and she said I didn't have to have those signed since I had a signed BOS. Judge I'll notice out i way or some other. | Chastened by banker-e'er fishing, chickenman, Derek 🐝, Duck_Hunter, Fish Killer, J-2, Jacob, Jons3825, Nocona Brian, Rockie Martin, Toon-Troller, Uncle Zeek, Weekender1 | |
